With well above normal temperatures we gained 2 to 3 degree days during the past week in all areas. The SJV is now 1 to 3 days ahead of normal and 6 to 8 days ahead of 2011. The Central Coast is now only 5 days behind normal and 3 days ahead of 2011. The North Coast (Napa) area is 3 days behind normal and 3 days ahead of 2011.

With the higher temperatures the PMI dropped out of the “high” pressure range from last week and will be in a moderate to low pressure range for this week based on the forecasted temperatures.

Bloom is occurring at very close to the normal times for SJV varieties and is projected to occur at normal times for Central Coast varieties.
