Mapping Services

California AgQuest can provide many different types of mapping services through the utilization of Geographic Information Systems, GPS, Surveyed data and Remote Sensing. The following are just a few examples of the mapping services provided.

1)	Ranch/Base Maps - Maps drawn to scale showing ranch and field boundaries, names and crop types, varieties, etc.
2)	Aerial Imagery:
	a. NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetative Index) - Processed infrared aerial imagery
	b. Infrared - Color Infrared aerial images.
	c. Color Aerial - A traditional color aerial image.
3)	VERIS - Veris readings of the soils in fields to identify soil type, soil chemical characteristics, etc.
4)	Shallow Groundwater - Map showing shallow groundwater depths.
5)	NRCS - Map showing the NRCS soil series information for a land area.
6)	Land Capability Classification - A detailed analysis of the land capability classifications.
7)	Slope Analysis/Plantable Acres - An analysis of the land topography to determine slope and what areas of a parcel are plantable.
8)	Available Water Holding Capacity - An analysis of the water capacity of land areas.
9)	GPS/GIS Services - We offer a wide range of GPS & GIS mapping services.
10)	Varible Rate Application Maps - Utilizing VERIS or aerial imagery data we can generate VRA prescriptions for most application controllers.
